We are looking for awesome swim instructors who will be an integral member of our teaching team; this is a most critical position getting to do what we do best; teach kids of all ages how to swim! And rock the customer’s experience.
Joining our team; you get to OWN all aspects of teaching swimming including:
· Just Keep Swimming Swimming Swimming!: you get to impact the lives of children by teaching them the most critical of life skills: how to swim! You will thrive in a state-of-the-art facility using a curriculum that allows swimming to be learned and fun! Oh, and our water is a balmy 90 degrees!
· Safety Safety Safety: as our swim instruction team and a member of our safety team, you will be responsible for assisting in the safety of our customers (parents and children, of course), instructors, and anyone in or around the pool area.

Swim Instructor Job Description
Reports to: Vice President-Aquatics
Description: SafeSplash® Swim Instructors are responsible for upholding and teaching in accordance to the SafeSplash® Swim School teaching certification and curriculum.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with SafeSplash® curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
- Flexibility and variety! Alternate between a guard and instructor duties and reap the reward of your skills and training!
- Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts.
- Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.
- Ensure swimmer safety.
- Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times.
- Provide Deck Supervisor with class information (ribbons, student changes, etc) to keep proper class organization.
- Provide customers with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash ‘N Tell week.
- Maintain proper SafeSplash® uniform standards outlined in employee handbook.
Qualifications Wish List (and a few must haves):
· Must have 2 years of swim instruction experience
· Must Have Red Cross LIfeguard and CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and child
· WSI a bonus
· Special consideration given to instructors with multiple years of experience teaching children aged 6 months to 10 years and/or special needs children
· Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 75lbs.
Hours: 3-40 hours per week
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and skills
